Player takes the role of Lunna Zephania Johnson, a 17 year old teenager studying at Hawkins High. She may look normal like other children her age but actually she was blessed with a very special gift: she can see and speak with spirits.Lunna has been an orphan since her parents died of a car accident 10 years ago (story about this was told on Whispers Room 6 game). It was around that time Lunna started to have visions of such extraordinary existence.Because of her special gift, people steer away from her. Most people seem to not have even a bit of sympathy for her miserable childhood and instead, get scared of her. Poor Lunna never has much friends and this is one of the many reasons why she keeps changing school. According to Lunna, it's easier to make friends with dead people rather than living ones.At present time, Lunna has just moved to a new school, the old Hawkins High. She finds it hard to make friends with students in the new school too, as rumors about her gift have become a hot topic among students in the city.Lunna always misses her parents and when she does, she will look at their pictures in her pendant. It was a very special pendant as it was a gift from her mother when she was little. Her epic adventure in Hawkins High starts at one night when she realizes that the pendant is missing. She has to sneak out of her room in the middle of the night, back to her locker only to get it back.When Lunna is about to return to her dorm, she is intrigued by a lovely voice singing a familiar song. She follows the song into the Auditorium and eventually meets a mysterious girl asking for her help. A big, evil-looking dark shadow disagrees with this request and starts chasing Lunna.Who is the mysterious girl and what does she want Lunna do?
